The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is an agency of the United States Department of Labor. OSHA's mission is to prevent work-related injuries, illnesses, and deaths by issuing and enforcing rules (called standards) for workplace safety and health. This course provides an introductory overview of OSHA. Learning objectives: 1. Explain the extent of OSHA's statutory authority; 2. Explain the mission of OSHA; 3. Identify the location and contact information of the federal regional office for the state in which your business is located; 4. Explain OSHA's Non-Retaliation Policy for small businesses. To successfully complete this course, you must attain a minimum score of 80% on the final exam and complete the course training survey. Continuing Education: VGM Education is authorized by IACET to offer 0.1 CEUs for this program.
