This course provides an overview of breast cancer, the most common form of non-skin cancer among women in the United States. This course explains the basics of what breast cancer is and its incidence. Learning objectives: 1. Identify the signs and symptoms of breast cancer; 2. Describe the causes of and risk factors for breast cancer; 3. Describe the tests given to diagnose breast cancer and the levels of staging; 4. Explain the types of treatments available for breast cancer. To successfully complete this course, you must attain a minimum score of 80% on the final exam and complete the course training survey. Continuing education: 1.0 Category 1 CPE credits by the Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC); 1.0 Scientific (S) Category I PCEs by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics (ABC) will be granted to those certified in the discipline of: Mastectomy Fitters; VGM Education is authorized by IACET to offer 0.1 CEUs for this program.
